Personal Information
Quaker Call to Action (quakercall.net and quakercall.org) maintains lists of persons and organizations who have registered their endorsement of the call, registered to attend an on-line event, or simply requested to be on our email mailing list. We store only information that is voluntarily provided by a person using our services.
In addition to a person's name we may store email address, phone number and location information such as city, state/province, country and postal address. Sometimes we store religion and religious affiliation. We use this information to communicate with and better understand the Quaker Call constituency. We send out event annoncements and other items that may interest those who subscribe. The information is not used for marketing or other commercial purposes, nor do we do sell, lease, rent, or transfer personal data to third parties for monetary or other consideration.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16
In the event of a data breach, we will notify all who may be affected.
We send email messages only to those who have requested to receive communications from us. Any recipient can "unsubscribe" or "opt-out" at any time by clicking a link in the email message or by making a request directly through our contact form.
We do not publish personal information such as email addresses and phone numbers in any location where the information would be visible to anonymous users or visitors.
We will provide a copy of your information to you on request. And we will delete it if you ask.
Technical Security Practices
All http requests and service calls are sent and received over a secure connection (https, ssl).
We do not make use of any "cookies" other than first-party cookies strictly required for the functioning of the web site. We design our site to comply with the GDPR and ePrivacy directives as well as other global, national and state regulations. The cookie contains a numeric reference code that cannot by used by outside applications. No user information is compromised. It is deleted when the user closes the browser.
- "peanutSecurity" contains a numeric code used to prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
- Our web hosting provider, GoDaddy.com, uses a few cookies for performance and security monitoring: "_scc_session","_tccl_visit","_tccl_visitor". See the GoDaddy privacy policy for more information.
